What is S.E.O & Why it is important?

Some key points to remember while learning S.E.O:-

  • S.E.O is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization.
  • By performing S.E.O you can easily bring your website on the top for a particular keyword in the search engine results.

KEYWORD:- In context to S.E.O, keyword is a single word or group of words used as search query by the users.

  • According to a survey, the 1st result in the Google Search receives 33% of the clicks on the other hand the 5th ranking result doesnot even get 4% of clicks.
  • From the business point of view, number of clicks is equal to number of customers.


Why S.E.O is important:-
  • Good S.E.O is important as it will make your website more visible in the search engine results which will help you to increase the traffic on your website.
TRAFFIC:- In context to S.E.O, Traffic is considered as number of users visiting your websites.
  • In the later stages, S.E.O will help to convert your local business venture into an international business which will easily show your  business as a BRAND.
  • S.E.O is not only used as Product or Business Branding as it can be used as a medium of Personal Branding also.

1. Research & analyze best keywords for website-

  • You have to find Keywords according to the need of your particular niche or product. 
  • For example- if your particular niche is digital marketing you will have to find keywords according to the digital marketing niche in which some of them will be search engine optimization, social media optimization, digital marketing venture and so on.
  • You can easily discover keywords using keyword planner tool which is a Google product and is easily accessible.
  • Keywords are mostly used in Titles, Meta-keywords and Meta-Description. 
  • This is the base for starting an online venture as keywords form the base of any website.

2. Competitor website analysis-
  • You should check and analyze page 1,2,3 for competitor websites and make analysis that which are the keywords that are used by them in order to rank their website. 
  • To check Competitors keywords first Go To Page Source -> Search for Metaname=”Keywords” and check your competitors keywords. 
  • This is the most common way of finding keywords of your competitors website so that you can easily know that on which keywords they are ranking.
