• SEO and SMO both are responsible for creating quality back-links thus SEO without SMO usually means that you have to build most of your back-links manually through guest posts, directories and other techniques which is very difficult.

• But there are two main differences between them one is SEO is done by choosing the relevant keywords and by making changes in the title, description and keywords meta tags which are present in HTML code whereas in SMO quality links or information gets viral via sharing of links, post, tags on social media platforms.
• The second main difference is SEO focuses on content which is readable by search engine spiders while SMO focuses on content which is in readable form for human readers.
